Physics studies and PhD at Göttingen University with a focus on laser physics and materials processing.
Scientific employee at the Laser-Laboratorium Göttingen from 1997 until 2000.
Joined the Thomson/Technicolor Group based in Paris as a patent engineer in 2001. In parallel, completion of professional training in the field of intellectual property rights. European Patent Attorney since 2005, Patent Assessor and admitted as German Patent Attorney since 2011.
Extensive experience in obtaining and defending intellectual property rights, especially in the (application) procedure of national, European and international patent applications as well as in opposition and nullity proceedings, mainly in the areas of control electronics, consumer electronics, data security and data storage, video processing, user interfaces and software. Considerable experience in proving patent infringement as well as in the training of inventors over many years.
